• Vans Combi // Orange, CA

  • I have been blessed to be able to shoot at Vans for the past 9 years. I've gotten to know almost all of the pros I used to look up to in the magazines. Sessions with Lance Mountain, Eric Dressen, Salba, Malba, Christan Hosoi, Lester Kasai, Peter Hewitt, Chris Miller, Steve Caballero, and many others has been an experience I never thought I would have 20 years ago. With Vans being my home park and, since I've had my girls, I don't really shoot too many other places. What more can you ask for, really, having this beast down the freeway from me where the best pool skaters in the world can be found on any given day is a blessing.

  • The first contest I shot was the Wicked Wahine All-Girls Contest in 2004 at Glendale, CA. That was where I got to meet MRZ. It was the first time I was able to see girls like Mimi Knoop, Heidi Fitzgerald, Juwels Bauer, Nicole Zuck, and Holly Lyons all together and ripping. It was a great contest and the event organizer Bam Bam always hit me up if they were having another all-girls contest, so I've come to know a lot of the girls in the Socal skate scene. The next year, I was able to shoot the X-Games and over the next years, shot events such as Tim Brauch, Protec Pool Party, GvR, and the US Open of Surfing. It's been a fun time, for sure.

  • I've had many opportunities to shoot in places that most people will never get to experience. I thank God that I've had these opportunities through friends and acquaintances to shoot with pros and locals alike.
